19th Police District Council Monthly Meeting

  • Holy Trinity Lutheran Church 1218 West Addison Street Chicago, IL, 60613 United States (map)

The 19th Police District Council, like you, have been deeply troubled by the recent uptick in violent robberies in our area and throughout Chicago. What resources are available to help you stay safe? That’s what will be covered in the next District Council meeting, this Tuesday, October 24, at 6:30pm.

The 19th Police District Council will review safety tips to increase your personal security. You’ll hear directly from the Chicago Office of Emergency Management and Communications (OEMC) about when and how to make an effective 911 call, and other safety resources available to you through 311. And they’ll welcome public safety staffers from aldermanic offices in our area to learn what public safety issues your alderperson can help address. Please join! Here are the details:

In addition, The 19th Police District Council will observe Domestic Violence Awareness Month by welcoming a representative from Apna Ghar, a provider for victims of domestic violence based right here in the 19th Police District. You’ll learn about the prevalence of domestic violence, Apna Ghar’s programming, and other resources for those facing domestic or gender-based violence.
