Lincoln, Ashland, Belmont (LAB) Construction

The Chicago Department of Transportation (CDOT), in coordination with the offices of Alderman Tunney, Alderman Waguespack and Alderman Martin are pleased to announce the start of the construction of the second section of the Lincoln-Ashland-Belmont improvements.

Beginning in Spring 2022, Lincoln, Ashland, and Belmont Avenues will be improved as the City renovates the streets with infrastructure improvements and streetscape elements. The project will consist of numerous improvements, including full-width resurfacing, widened sidewalks, new lighting and traffic signals, new crosswalks, street trees, landscaping, community identifiers and other pedestrian amenities.  The Lincoln-Ashland-Belmont intersection will be reconfigured to improve traffic and pedestrian safety.  The improvements will also include an improved plaza space at the northwest corner of the intersection.
